ABOUT
I’ll keep it short and sweet, because we all know the jewels are what you really want to see...
1.
I have always loved jewelry.
2
I am an alumna of University of San Diego. I returned to postgraduate education later for my G.G. - Graduate Gemologist degree - from GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in Carlsbad, California.
3
That’s when I officially became a G.G. – Gem Geek!
4
I then completed the jewelry hand rendering and CAD/CAM programs at GIA. (Before then, I could only draw stick people!)
5
I worked on the wholesale side of the jewelry industry for 10 years, beginning as Production Assistant for bridal brand Kirk Kara to later managing luxury colored gemstone line Omi Privé.
6
My professional career in jewelry stems back to one breakup (isn’t it always the case?)
7
Color moves me. I am extremely passionate about colored gems - particularly sapphires and spinel. If you aren’t familiar, just ask me here!
8
I named my dog after the “Father of Modern Gemology” and founder of the diamond grading system, Richard T. Liddicoat. I told you...Gem Geek!
9
I love designing and creating bespoke pieces for clients. Hearing clients’ stories and ideas is inspiring. Helping to commemorate special moments of life is the best part.
10
I focus on quality, not quantity. In the custom jewelry process, my goal is to provide the highest caliber of gemstones and craftsmanship possible, within the client’s financial ideals.
